About Me
I love making people, ideas, brands, and agencies famous.
My name is Alexandra Velasco. I’m an award-winning communications leader with over a decade of experience in advertising and marketing PR and comms. I earned my stripes as Head of PR & Comms at Droga5 and Director of Comms at GUT, with a strong track record of positioning companies and executives as industry leaders both in the US and globally.
I’ve led PR strategies for top agencies, holding companies, brands (e.g., Pinterest, Refinery29), and global and regional C-suite executives—driving visibility, share of voice, and new business. Media placements include The New York Times, Fast Company, Forbes, Ad Age, Adweek, and more.
Proud recipient of multiple industry awards (Cannes, D&AD, Effies, Clios, One Show, WARC, etc.) for work with global brands like Google, Kraft Heinz, AB InBev, XBOX, and DoorDash, among many others..
